Several steps are used to draw animation. Key Animators are senior animators who receive layouts and exposure sheets with which they draw their scenes. They write camera instruction on the dope sheets. Animators draw rough drawings of the main poses. Assistant animators draw more individual drawings in between the major one handed to them by the animator. In-between animators are the junior artists who draw the individual drawings between those drawn by assistant animators.
